InCoB2008 will feature oral presentations shortlisted from full paper submissions for selection in the special conference supplement of the journal BMC Bioinformatics. Other full paper submissions will be considered for the special conference supplement of the journal Bioinformation. Full papers are invited in the following areas:

  • Transcriptome Analysis
  • Structural Bioinformatics
  • Comparative Bioinformatics
  • Immunoinformatics
  • Neuroinformatics
  • Evolution and Phygenetics
  • Computational Proteomics
  • Text Mining
  • Ontologies and Controlled Vocabularies
  • Networks, Pathways and Systems Biology
  • Synthetic Biology
  • Statistical Genetics & Genomics
  • Other Emerging Areas

Original articles, not under consideration for publication elsewhere, must be formatted in the style required by BMC Bioinformatics, as set out in their "Instructions for Authors" and submitted to the InCoB2008 paper submission site on EasyChair. One author of each shortlisted paper will present their research at InCoB2008, as a registered conference attendee. Based on feedback provided by session chairs and InCoB International Advisory Committee members on these oral presentations, a select number of papers will be accepted for publication in the APBioNet-InCoB2008 Supplement of Bioinformatics, subject to copyright and payment of article processing charges required to be paid to APBioNet, to collectively pass on to Biomed Central for the supplement. Details of these charges will be provided from the InCoB2008 paper submission site. Select papers will be accepted for publication in Bioinformation, subject to reformatting as per the journal's requirements. Papers that are not shortlisted for oral presentations will be automatically considered for poster presentation.
